Deep Dive with Ali Abdaal
Deep Dive is a gorgeous site, and it was a bit intimidating to start with it, but we were able to get pretty close and even added a couple new design customizations to be able to mimic some of the more distinctive design elements.

Design Challenges are a fun way to show off the amazing things you can do with Podpage. We asked podcasters to share their favorite non-Podpage podcast websites and then we spend 15-30 minutes recreating them using only settings available in Podpage with no custom code.

The Process
Here's a little insight into how we customized Podpage to look like the original Deep Dive with Ali Abdaal website.
This process was a bit longer because we ended up adding some additional functionality, but now that's available to all Podpage users which is awesome. This site had BIG, BOLD elements. LARGE FONTS. In the video, we talk through how we did some of the work using Podpage's advanced features.
What Worked
- The YouTube Video Matching was clutch, giving us awesome episodic artwork even thought the feed had none.
- The colors came over well
- The header art looks great
- We additional design customization that gives the user a change to center the background for homepage sections
What Didn't Work
- We couldn't find an exact match for their unique and awesome main font.
- We couldn't get the nav bar to wrap inside the header background just because of how the core pages are structured.
- Some of the card sizing was unique to each section, which we dont support at the moment.
